Writing About Real Life
Seeking Out Everyday Magic
Meet the Writer
Hello. I'm Sue Pritchard and welcome to my writing page.
As ordinary people I believe we all have extraordinary stories to tell, and that’s why I love to write about real life. Sharing our collective experiences helps to build a bridge of human connection, reassuring us we’re not alone in this weird and wonderful thing we call life.
Giving an entertaining but open-minded view of life, death, and the more magical mysteries of this world, I hope my writing journey encourages others to believe in themselves, starting to reach for those dreams they thought had passed them by.
And as a self-doubting middle-aged woman, I also want to show it’s never too late to start.
Dream Catcher
I finally embarked on my writing journey when I was 50 years old. Prompted by a visit to a psychic, a heavenly helping hand gave me the courage to start chasing my childhood dream of becoming an author.
That’s why I’m now on the journey to publish my first book - a memoir called Dream Catcher.
Everyday Magic
My writing experience has shown me some of the unbelievable parts of this world that often pass us by. And if we open our eyes, hearts, and minds, I believe we can find a sprinkling of magic in our everyday world.
You don’t have to be a magician to be able to conjure it up. It’s already there in our ordinary lives. It’s those beautifully, sometimes inexplicably ‘Oh wow!’ moments, that make you catch your breath and fill your heart with joy.
That’s why we need to keep looking up and always try to be a seeker of everyday magic.

How It All Started

When Sue Met Donna
People often say you should never meet your real-life heroes. If you’ve ever had the good fortune to meet Donna Ashworth though, you’ll know it isn’t true. This best-selling author who’s been called the face of modern poetry, tells Sue Pritchard all about her writing life and the important role spirituality plays in it.
It’s A Kind Of Magic
Paul McKenna says manifesting is the closest thing to real magic you can get, and it’s something he’s been doing for most of his life. After spending 90 minutes in a room with this hypnotist, Sue Pritchard hopes she’s finally learnt how to dream ludicrously big.
